I’m Magaly — but everyone calls me Maggie.
I’m a flight attendant, a mama of three, a wife to my high school sweetheart Steven, a Salvadorian girl from SoCal, a Disney adult, a baker, a DIY enthusiast and someone who truly believes the most beautiful moments in life happen in the in-between.
Between the layovers and the school drop-offs. Between the messy kitchen and the finished recipe. Between who I was and who I’m still becoming.
Welcome to Jet Plane Mommy. This has been my little corner of the internet for over ten years now — and I am so glad you found it.
A little backstory.
I started this blog because I needed somewhere to tell the whole story. Not the highlight reel. The real one. The recipes that took three tries. The travel tips I learned the hard way. The mom moments that are equal parts beautiful and completely chaotic.
Life tested me early. At 14 I fought a serious battle with Crohn’s disease and I remember lying in that hospital bed wondering if I’d even get to grow up. I did. And I think about that a lot — how precious every ordinary Tuesday actually is. How none of it should be wasted on smallness.
I grew up. I built a life I’m genuinely proud of. And somewhere along the way I became the woman I always hoped I’d be.
Here’s what life looks like right now:
✈️ I’m a working flight attendant which means I get to see the world on layovers and come home to pure beautiful chaos.
🏠 We bought our first home and honestly I am never getting over it. It’s ours.
👧🏽 Madison is almost 11 — a competitive cheer athlete who works harder than most adults I know. She is fierce and focused and she absolutely got that on her own.
👧🏽 Maya just turned 9 and she is pure joy and drama in equal measure. Also in competitive cheer. Also absolutely thriving.
👦🏽 Mason is 3 and he runs this entire house. Our surprise. Our chaos. Our whole heart in tiny sneakers that he refuses to keep on his feet.
🐾 Kobe the kitten and Gigi the puppy joined the crew because apparently we don’t believe in doing things halfway.
💪🏽 I recently hit my goal weight after a real journey and I am stepping into this next chapter feeling more like myself than I have in years.
🎂 And I’m about to turn 40. I am not dreading it. I am running toward it.
