Apple Pie Pops Recipe

With fall just around the corner we had to make a trip to Riley’s Farm to pick some Gala’s apples with the girls. It was such a fun activity to do, plus we got some beautiful pictures and the girls were able to run around!

If you have not yet been to Riley’s Farm in Yucaipa California, you’re totally missing out! It is such a beautiful farm with so many fun activities to do. They have berry, (which I’m hoping we get a chance to go to before the season ends) pears, flowers, and pumpkin picking. This is just half of the Farm. If you drive a mile more you will get to their little town which has tons of mom and pop restaurants, shops and other fun family activities! I know during they holidays this place gets pretty busy and they are mostly known for their delicious apple pies.

There is no entrance or parking fee. You just pay for what you pick.

I cannot even tell you how many apples the girls ate while we were there. We filled up a whole bag to bring home and they were all gone within three days. But if I did have apples left I would have made a homemade apple filling. It is so easy to make and one of my favorite things to have on top of vanilla ice cream. I really wanted to share this cute and easy recipe of apple pie pops that we actually made for my baby shower when I was pregnant with Madison. If you don’t want to make the filling it’s ok, you can just purchase it from the grocery store. I actually had some from trader joe’s, so I just went and bought ready to bake pie crust. All the other ingredients I already had in my pantry. These are so perfect with your morning coffee and are a sweet treat for the little ones. My girls loved them!

What you will need:

1 can all organic apple filling ( or fruit of your choice)

1 Ready to Bake Pie Crust (This will make 6 pops with a regular size cookie cutter)

1 Egg White

Flour

Raw Sugar to Sprinkle (Optional)

Direcions:

Sprinkle flour on a clean flat surface and roll your ready bake pie crust out. Use a cookie cutter of your choice (in this case I used the rim of a small cup) and cut the dough. With a small spoon add filling to your dough cutouts (place the pop sticks now and push them down a bit) and place another cut out on top. Press on the edges firmly with your fingers or use a fork to give it a more decorate look. Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet and brush the egg white wash on top of them and add the raw sugar (this is optional). Put in the oven for 14-18 minutes to bake. Let them sit for 5 minutes to cool down and enjoy!

Here are more fun pictures of our adventure at Riley’s Farm with Gabi and the girls.

Xoxo,

Maggie
