Fashion Week in Paris

Paris Fashion Week… Say it with me guys! Paris Fashion Week!

Sometimes as a little girl you dream of things you want to do when you grow up and if you believe, they do come true. With a lot of hard work and some sacrifice of course. When I first got the email about the invitation I was a little hesitant about it but Steven said I needed to go because he knew that this was one of my dreams.

For me this was definitely a big deal! I mean it was Fashion Week in Paris and I got to be a part of it! I never in a million years thought that creating content on Instagram would land me there but it did and it has been such a blessing. Seeing Paris transform into runways and shows was such a treat and to be able to experience this with one of my best friends was even more memorable. There were so many things I learned about Fashion and Paris the two short days I was there. One is to wear whatever makes you feel beautiful. Even if it’s not appealing to others you still go rock that dress or suit or whatever it is you want to wear! Two, is to book your hotel ahead of time! We only had planned being there one night initially so we only booked a room for that one night. Well my schedule changed and we were able to stay a second night but everything was sold out! And I mean EVERYTHING! No hostels, Airbnb’s, nothing was available all because of PFW and some huge golf tournament they had going on. We stayed out as late as we could and then went to pick up our bags to head to the airport and hung out there till security opened.

The staff at Hotel Jardins De La Villa were the best! They were very accommodating and even offered their lobby for us to stay in till we had to depart to the airport. But by this time, we had to be up in just a few hours so it just made sense to leave early to the airport so we wouldn’t have to be out in the middle out the night. But if you find yourself going to Paris I highly recommend this hotel! Their rooms are very spacious, gorgeous and comfortable. Their lobby and breakfast area is very chic and classy. I believe every stay does include breakfast (but just double-check this because I am not completely sure). Their location is actually right by the Arc of Triumph, so you’re in the center of Paris and have the train access, coffee shops, restaurants, and shops right outside of the hotel.

Gabi and I enjoyed the short time we were there so much! We walked pretty much everywhere and ate pizza, crepes, and croissants. Paris was a little cooler but not cold enough for a heavy coat. I loved everything about this trip. I loved seeing the way people dress and not care what others think. I love French coffee but I think everyone actually knows that. I loved the company I was with! I honestly am grateful Gabi was able to come with me. She is a great travel partner and I hope that we can do this a little more often, because sometimes we need a little mommy break. And last I loved that I got to see Paris in the fall! I have only been there in the spring.

I hope to be able to go next year and get to watch more shows. Remember that when you dream big you also have to work hard and that is what I plan to do for the next year. I have bigger goals and bigger dreams! Be a #goaldigger not a #golddiggier, see what I did there?!?

Xoxo,

Maggie

P.S. And now we just wait for Fashion Week LA! Stay tuned for that guys!

  2. Must say lovely clicks. Although there are many notable fashion weeks around the world, only four are known as the “Big Four”: Paris, Milan, London and New York. … For example, most haute couture shows are held in Paris, while most bridal shows are held in New York.
