With Halloween around the corner, we got creative with how we will be celebrating one of our favorite holidays! One thing we have always loved doing leading up to Halloween is visiting pumpkin patches. We love their different setups throughout the pumpkin patch and it only made sense to have something similar to that here at home .
First things first we headed over to our local Walmart and stocked up on a few bags of our favorite HERSHEY® candy, like REESE’S Peanut Butter Cups and KIT KAT® Bars. I also grabbed some really cute scarecrows, baskets, pumpkins and straw bales. You can get everything needed to start the season with a quick trip to Walmart or at Walmart.com / Walmart Grocery Pickup. After picking up everything we needed, I could not wait to get home and set everything up!
Once I was home, I placed each straw bale in areas we will see most of our trick-a-treaters. I decorated around them with some of the cutest scarecrows and pumpkins we found at Walmart. Each basket is filled with individually packaged bags of candy. (This is something I really love how it turned out and definitely plan to continue to do every Halloween.) When Halloween gets here, I will place each basket in their spot so each kiddo can grab their own candy bags.
I feel like this is the perfect little set up to enjoy the pumpkin patch feel, while we wait for Halloween to get here. It will also be great for any trick-or-treaters who come to be able to grab a treat safely in our pumpkin patch setting. Nothing makes me happier than to be able to share this joy and little photo-op setups to others during these times. How are you celebrating this Halloween? Are you starting any new traditions?
