I’m Back — And My Life Looks Completely Different

Hola friend. It’s me. Maggie.

I know, I know. It’s been a while. Like, a really long while. And if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you already know my life has been an absolute beautiful whirlwind. But the blog? She’s been collecting dust. And honestly? That bothers me, because this is where it all started.

So today I’m doing what I should have done a long time ago — I’m coming back, pulling up a chair, and telling you everything.

Where have I even been?

The last time I wrote a real blog post, I had two little girls and a dream. Now? I have two competitive cheer athletes, a three-year-old boy who runs the entire house, a kitten named Kobe, a puppy named Gigi, a home we OWN, and a passport that has been WORKING.

I am tired, blessed, and fully chaotic in the best way.

The girls — 11 and 9

These two have grown into the most incredible little humans. Both in competitive cheerleading now, and if you know anything about cheer mom life, you already know it is a full-time job on top of your full-time job. Early Saturday mornings, competition season, uniforms, hair, makeup, the nerves, the pride when they hit that routine. I am SO deep in it and I love every second.

Mason — my boy, 3 years old

Where do I even start with this child. He came in and completely rewired all of us. The girls are obsessed with him. He is obsessed with himself. Currently in his “I do it myself” era and honestly I respect it.

Yes. We did this. We added pets during an already full season of life and I have approximately four thousand photos of them together. You’ll be seeing them here a lot.

We bought a house

Almost four years ago we became homeowners. For a Latina girl from South Los Angeles, homeownership felt like something that happened to other people and then we did it. Our own space, our own walls, our own backyard. I have SO much to share about this.

Oh and we have been TRAVELING

This is the part where I need you to sit down because the jet setting has been REAL.

I took a girls trip to Vietnam — one of the most incredible experiences of my life and I cannot wait to share every detail with you. The food, the culture, the beauty — it completely blew my mind.

My husband and I escaped to Paris together — just the two of us. Very necessary. Very romantic. Very “we needed this.”

We took the whole family to Mexico — kids, chaos, memories, all of it.

And our BIGGEST news? We are heading back to Paris with the kids for the first time!! I cannot wait to see the city I love through their eyes. That content is coming and it is going to be so good.

The blog is about to be FULL of travel guides, packing lists, tips for flying with kids, and all the places we’ve been and are going.

So why am I coming back to the blog?
