Bed Transition with DockATot

There is nothing like having your bed back to yourselves after co-sleeping for over 2 years. We started to co sleep with Madison maybe when she turned 3 months. And yes guys… I loved it! There is nothing like feeling like your little one is safe when they are that close to you. And after having Maya we said we wouldn’t do it again, but guess what!? Once she outgrew her bassinet she was co sleeping with us as well.

Those were probably the worst days because imagine four people! In a queen sized bed. Yes, that really happened and let me tell you, the two smallest human beings would take over the whole bed every single night!!! One night we said that it was time, they needed to move into their room! Well guys with the help of DockATot we finally were able to transition them in a way that it wasn’t too drastic for them!

See the girls have a room, with a crib for Maya and a full-size bed for Madison. But we knew Maya would not budge and actually sleep on her own in her crib. We came up with the idea of putting both their DockATot’s on the full-size bed, so that way they are kind of co-sleeping but really aren’t. I seriously wished I would have thought about this sooner! The girls now sleep in their room on their own bed in their DockATots! No more little feet digging in my back in the middle of the night or feeling like I’m being pushed off the bed and sleeping on the edge.

The DockATot makes the girls feel secure, it feels like you’re sleeping on a cloud. The DockATot Grand truly has been the best thing to help us transition the girls. We also still use it for multiple things around the house like nap time and even playtime. We love that we can bring them just about anywhere when we travel.

Also, I love that you can change the covers on them! Maya originally had the chevron print cover and we just changed it to the beautiful flower pattern one to match big sisters which is called, La Vie En Rose. They are so easy to change and I love that I can just throw them in the washer when they need to be cleaned out. This is a must for every mama with a newborn and even a toddler!

Xoxo,

Maggie
